Water Damage To New Construction

SERVPRO of East Central Austin was called to another water related job that consisted of a new house that was under construction in South Austin. Somehow the upstairs bathtub had overflowed causing water to travel through the upstairs bedrooms all the way down to the 1^st floor. The flooding was noticed at 7pm on a Saturday evening and SERVPRO of East Central Austin Water Restoration Technician mobilized immediately. There was minor damage to the upstairs bedrooms, but the downstairs kitchen and dining room were directly below the overflowing bathtub. Contractor met us on site for our initial walk through. Due to the extent of insulation saturation in the ceiling and walls, it was determined that we needed to tear out the affected areas on the 1^st floor. Drying and final clean up completed and contractor was able to reconstruct house without missing the closing date.
